In reflecting on who you are as a person, all too often the I gets lost amongst all the hats you wear (the WE). Do you remind yourself of who you are as an individual? Is it wrong to try and work in some of your personal goals outside of all these hats? In order to truly live a true happy life, it is needful and necessary to deal with all the hats you are wearing: wife, single woman, single mother, divorcee, married mother, Boss/Entrepreneur, Pastor, role model, just to name a few. You will be glad you have accepted the invitation to stop drowning in a cup of water after you finish the journey of Finding The I In We.

Lakisha is a licensed and ordained elder in her church and has obtained a BA in Christian Ministries and a MA in Urban Ministries.
Lakisha was born and raised in the inner city of Chicago and faced many challenges and obstacles as a young gang leader on the south side of Chicago. She has now founded a 4-week apprenticeship program called Rise Above The Ordinary.
Lakisha wears many hats and holds many titles, but she is most proud of being called "Mom" by her two loving boys - Kaden and Christian - as well as her bonus son - Jalen, and sister by her brother - Dontate. She is now "Inspiring the next generation of chefs and business owners of Chicago."
